"Māla o Aloha" (garden of aloha) is an immersive mural that transports audiences to the rural town of Kohala of which my family originates, both brightening the space, and also sharing a personal story of generosity and community. Painted and designed by me in partnership with Leeds Kirkgate Market and funded by UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. Plants depicted -- Hawaiian mountain apple ( ʻohiʻa ʻai) and shampoo ginger (ʻawaphui).Date
